What Working Together Looks Like: From Consult to Confidence

Stepping into something new can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to your health. At Movement Synergy Allied Health, we understand that starting (or restarting) movement takes courage. That’s why we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
This blog walks you through exactly what to expect when working with us, from your first appointment to the moment you begin to move with strength, ease, and confidence.
Step 1: Your Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with a 1:1 Initial Consultation led by our university-qualified Exercise Physiologist. This is a relaxed, supportive session where we get to know you, your goals, your history, your lifestyle, and any barriers you may be facing.

We'll cover:
Your movement and health history
Any injuries, pain, or conditions
What you want to achieve (strength, energy, confidence, or simply more ease in your body)
A gentle movement screen to assess how you move and what support you need
You’ll never be pushed to do something that doesn’t feel right. This is about creating a plan that meets you where you are.
Step 2: Your Personalised Pathway
After your consult, we create a tailored movement plan designed to support your unique body, goals, and preferences. This may include:
Small group classes like Align (Pilates), Lift (Strength), or Restore (Stretch & Breath)
1:1 sessions if you need more support or rehab
Education and self-care tools to use between sessions
You’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace and check in regularly so we can adjust your program as your body and confidence grow.
Step 3: Building Strength, Confidence & Routine
As you start attending classes or sessions, you’ll be supported in a space that prioritises:
Connection over competition
Progress over perfection
Empowerment over pressure
Our small group classes are capped to ensure you receive personalised attention, and we’re always here to answer questions, modify movements, or cheer you on.
It’s not about being the fittest or the strongest—it’s about feeling capable in your body and re-connecting to what makes you feel good.
